From the President
The mission of the Branford Chamber of Commerce is to enhance business opportunity for the economic success of our members and the benefit of the community. As the preeminent Chamber on the shoreline, we are committed to providing value-added benefits for our members and to enhancing business opportunity in the Branford area through economic development, government involvement, and community participation.
The benefits of Chamber membership are many and include health insurance programs, educational seminars, monthly networking events, advertising and marketing opportunities, grand opening ceremonies, and our annual Craft & Community Expo. The Chamber has also instituted a wide diversity of programs to meet the needs of the myriad of businesses that are within our Chamber Community. We strive to provide opportunities to enhance the marketing of your businessby providing personal and professional development for you and your staff. Keeping you updated on important government issues and finally allowing the opportunity to help make a difference in the community in which we live and work.
If you are in the market to purchase goods and/or services, please consider visiting a Chamber member first. Through their membership, these businesses have demonstrated a commitment to the well-being of our Branford community.
We are a dynamic organization with a strong Board that insists on taking advantage of all of the newest technologies and to demonstrative creativity and innovation. We wear with pride the term that has been “tagged” to the Branford Chamber, "the most progressive Chamber on the shoreline."
Ed Lazarus, President
From the Chairperson
Welcome to the Branford Chamber of Commerce website!
Throughout my years on the Chamber (just past 12 years total, now!), I have chaired and participated in several committees. No one can fully understand what goes into running an event until they’ve done it, and I am eternally grateful for incredible volunteers from our membership. With many naturally great leaders, our events have continued to thrive throughout the year.
I hope you were fortunate enough to have made it to one or more of our fantastic networking or community events this past year. A Chamber is an excellent place to start or further your networking abilities. But the Branford Chamber is far beyond that – it’s a group of every type of personality you can ask for. We’ve got the leaders and those that prefer to be behind the scenes. We’ve got the outgoing and the shy. We’ve got the boisterous and the reserved. Somehow, they all balance out as they mingle throughout our many events. And at the core, we’ve got a leader in Ed Lazarus who is not afraid to make jokes about himself while working extremely hard to be sure that the Chamber and its members succeed.
To your success,
Robyn Collins, Chairperson, Branford Chamber Board of Directors
